Assistant: Connecticut Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDS)

December 2017 to January 2018
Through their East Hartford office during off time during my time at Manchester Community College, I helped their self-advocate coordinators with their projects. I researched various resources in the state and shared my times with the coordinators to give birth to new ideas.

Building on the Spectrum: Autism Families Connecticut

July 2017 to December 2017
Before I was hired in 2018, I did some volunteering with their Lego program. Not only did I interact with children, but I also helped facilitated the activity and the social interactions that occurred. All activities were planned by group leaders to create the structure needed for the children.

Peer Mentor: Autism Services & Resources Connecticut, Wallingford, CT

April 2006 to November 2016
Through a peer mentor opportunity by ASRC and the Connecticut Autism Advisory Council, I provided life coaching to a young adult for several months. I facilitated several community trips that is based on the individual's preferences. This taught me how to do professional emails with individuals and other professionals.

During my MCC years during 2016 to 2017, me and the Disability Office ran this support group to support fellow students.

Originated an autism support group. Topics included how to handle the transition to adulthood. I recall doing a movie screening for Life, Animated at the campus.

Let's collaborative for your next event!
