Thank you for using this resource and have a wonderful day!
AlphaOne’s Driver Evaluation Located in Maine, this center tackles driver evaluations since 1980 making it the oldest program within the state. They seem to tackle the broad disability population with no noticed exclusion from their page. Styles of evaluations are both clinical and behind the wheel. Since the COVID pandemic, they have several protocols to ensure safety and wellbeing with instructors and students. Pathways Rehabilitation Services Started by Heather Shields, she provides driving evaluations and a fully realized driving school. She goes to her clients’ homes and community to help them feel comfortable. What is discussed in the evaluation process is how the person’s medical condition affects driving ability and finding steps to move forward, driving or not depending on the situation. In her work, she also does services regarding adaptive equipment inside the car. Finally, her website contains a resource page that list several national resources and some links on older drivers. If you are interested in checking out my main website, this is the link to go back to home menu. Book me for your next autism event.
